According to ONHEALPET on the 24th, as part of their project to coexist with lost and abandoned animals, 1.8 tons of New Zealand pet food products from the 'Kiwi Country' line, distributed by ONHEALPET, were donated to the animal protection group Happy World with Animals (hereinafter referred to as Donghaeng).
Kiwi Country is a product that contains one to two types of meat raised on natural pasture in the pristine areas of New Zealand, New Zealand green-lipped mussels, and various superfoods. It is suitable for all dog breeds and ages.
An official from ONHEALPET stated, "We planned this donation with Daewoong Pet to provide some help to shelters that are going through difficult times. We hope that the sheltered animals can receive sufficient nutrition, stay healthy, and eventually meet their forever families."
Choi Mi-geum, CEO of Donghaeng, said, "The donated food was shared not only with the animals at Baladang, a public-private partnership adoption center in Seoul operated by our organization, but also with animals at other shelters such as the Seoul Association for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, which always suffer from food shortages."
She added, "Due to the poor financial situation of the shelter, there is often not enough food for the animals, so sometimes we have to give them the minimum amount. I am grateful that we can now freely provide high-quality food with a warm touch for the protected animals."
Meanwhile, ONHEALPET has been carrying out an abandoned animal coexistence project since last year to improve awareness of abandoned animals and to create a proper companion animal culture. [Happy Pet]
